I went on another website trying to help me with this, but the moron had no idea what he was talking about! If using Bing to search, opens new window but never connects. Wish I had found this site before I downloaded the crap they call IE9. Have tried for 3 days to install it with no luck. After finding this site I am so glad I could not install it and gotten rid of the installer. What crap. I want to completely remove IE9 from my computer. Once I uninstall it through the uninstall update thingy.
I try to Install the newest version of IE 9 but I am told there is a newer version allready on my computer. My thanks IE in any version, including 9 is the most useless, cumbersome, invasive, proprietary browser out there. I am glad to rid of it and its nagware updates. Perhaps nothing can fix IE. I like to keep IE up to date for better security on my system, even if I do not use the browser as my primary one, its rendering engine is used by third party apps. IE is still the best browser, it is really fast when it comes to playing browser game online, so keep it is the best option.
I have little urge to uninstall IE. Windows Update keeps it current, but I almost never open it. Martin, thanks, but this is a direct file download. Wrks for the new version as well the missus did not like the new version look, and some webpages Korean were suddenly geographically blocked, unlike with the previous version :. I tried it and i receive a message after rebooting stating that the uninstall was unsuccessful.

E 5 or higher, but i already had I. E 9 installed couldnt find a way of eliminating the problem as i couldnt find I. E 9 until i found your link, so I uninstalled I. E 8 but dont use the browser anyway!!! I tried to uninstall several times as per instructions and could not. I also tried as per advice doing something in command prompt, but that did not work either.

How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. Maybe restart the server, then try the uninstall. But IIS should not be preventing it from uninstalling. IIS and IE don't work together. IIS is simply a web server host. It can be accessed by any browser. If it cannot find it then that would suggest the problem is not with IE10 but possibly an issue with a semi-installed version of IE I tried it will all 3 and get the same ERROR only thing different is it has responding numbers 11 and Did you clear the contents of the folders?
Ok I finally got success in uninstalling 10, 11 I got the same crazy error and did not try 9. What is the next step.
This gives me the Windows Update dialog "An error has occurred. Not all of the updates were successfully uninstalled. So I tried running the MS fixit for updates that don't completely install just to see.
This gave me the Windows Package Manager dialog "Operation failed with 0x Access is denied. I've tried installing the IE language packs but they say they're not compatible and also tried downloading the IE11 setup but it will not complete as well. I've ran chkdsk. I disabled IE in Windows features and then reenabled it and tried downgrading again.
Thanks for the reply. This is the tutorial I had tried but it gave me the errors listed above. I haven't yet tried removing it in safe mode though.
